The HLA 135 is the most powerful cordless long-reach hedge trimmer from STIHL, designed with professional landscapers and gardeners in mind. It’s ideal for pruning, trimming and maintenance work on hedges, shrubs, bushes, in road maintenance and in local authority work. It’s lightweight, has low noise output and low vibrations – making it perfect for long-periods of work throughout the day in noise-sensitive environments.
Powered by a 36 V lithium-ion battery, it has excellent balance which provides less fatigue during operation. An ergonomic control handle with three different levels lets the user control the speed of the cutter blade during. The tool can be used by both left- and right-handed users comfortably and efficiently too.
The long-reach hedge trimmer has a length of 249 cm, which makes it perfect for cutting tall and wide hedges. The 60 cm/24” laser-cut double-sided, double-edged, diamond ground blades are friction-optimised, meaning they have high-cutting performance and help to extend the length of the battery during use. The cutter head can be adjusted by up to 145°, letting you tackle all angles of hedges. And the blades provide a clean cutting pattern thanks to the high acceleration of the EC motor. The head of the hedge trimmer can be folded flat for easy transport (reducing the total length to 188 cm) which makes it easy to transport the tool for those working in garden maintenance businesses. Plus, the tool is IPX4 rated, so it can be used in rain and wet conditions too.
When used with the recommended AP 200 S battery, the HLA 135 has a working time of up to 64 minutes. What’s more, this battery provides perfect balance when used, making work even more comfortable!

Battery Compartment in the Engine Casing: DIRECT POWER SUPPLY TO THE tool. With this tool, you can insert the required battery from the STIHL AP System directly into the engine housing. This increases your mobility and flexibility when working.
Fleet Management with the Smart Connector: OPTIMISED tool USE. Thanks to STIHL connected, you always have an overview of your tool fleet and can automatically receive tool data such as age, operating hours, and maintenance status. This allows you to determine the ideal fleet size based on digital information, as it makes clear how the tool fleet is being used. The Smart Connector collects the required data and transfers it to a tool. All recorded tool data is available for viewing and evaluation in the STIHL connected App and the STIHL connected Portal.
Double Sided Cutting Blade: FOR OPTIMAL HEDGE CUTTING. The double-sided cutting blade facilitates optimum hedge cutting: vertically, horizontally and in corners. Thanks to the double-sided cutting blades, you can effectively trim or prune your hedge, as well as thicker branches.

Thanks to the use of lightweight magnesium, you benefit from weight reduction without any compromise in terms of transmission robustness. Single-handed Multi-Function Handle With Speed Con: EASY ADJUSTMENT OF tool PERFORMANCE. Quickly and conveniently adjust the speed of your tool to the respective work situation. Doing so reduces energy consumption at low speeds, and in this way extends the battery runtime. The practical control handle with speed control allows you to make the relevant adjustment without having to change your grip or pause work.
Metal Mesh Air Filter: OPTIMAL ENGINE COOLING. The air filter with fine metal mesh cleans the air and, in this way, ensures optimum engine cooling. As it is easy to clean, it also offers a long service life.

If you purchase a washing machine or any other appliance and request the removal of your old appliance, please specify this in the comment section at checkout. Ensure that your old appliance is disconnected and placed outside the premises, ready for collection.

Damaged and Faulty Goods
If your goods are damaged or faulty, we will replace the goods free of charge. If you do not want a replacement, delivery charges may be incurred to collect the item from you. Do not install any damaged items. This counts as acceptance of goods and the item is then non-returnable and non-refundable. Damaged goods must be reported within 48 hours of delivery, please contact us by emailing websales@beattys.ie or by phone on (091) 841403. In the event that goods are received in a damaged state please retain the product together with any packaging and contact us within 48 hours of receipt with photographic evidence. In the case of an item being faulty we may require an inspection by a manufacturer's qualified engineer to be carried out on the item in the location where it is installed. This is so the nature of the fault can be ascertained before we can arrange for a replacement.
All products leave our premises in perfect condition. The customer must notify the carrier (or postman) of even the slightest trace of damage (holes, signs of crushing, etc.) to the parcel, and refuse the package if necessary.
Unwanted Goods
Do not install or use any unwanted items. This counts as acceptance of goods and the item is then non-returnable and non-refundable. You have a statutory right to return unopened goods up to 14 days after receiving your order (“the cooling off period”) and then a further 14 days to return the products. If you are not ordering a replacement, a charge may be incurred to collect the item from you. You must notify us of your wish to cancel within 14 days, starting the day after delivery. You have the choice of returning the goods via your own means ( Beattys of Loughrea, Church Street, Loughrea, Co. Galway) or requesting that we collect them. If you request collection, we will collect the goods on the next available date that one of our delivery vehicles is in your area. You have a duty of care while the goods are in your possession and we reserve the right to charge you for any damage that may have occurred during this period.
We reserve the right to apply re-handling charges for returned items under some circumstances:
- The goods received back are 'as new' but incomplete; i.e. missing components and/or accessories.
- The returned products are missing their original packaging.
- The cancellation was requested after the 14 day notification period.
We do not accept returns and will not provide refunds under the following circumstances:
- The goods you wish to return are in any condition other than 'as new'.
- The goods have been installed and/or used.
- Cables have been cut or terminated.
Refunds will be reimbursed within 30 working days of the cancellation date.
