Beattys of Loughrea is a family-owned Irish department store featuring 9 dedicated specialist departments. We provide in-person specialist advice and trade services across County Galway, alongside fast nationwide delivery throughout Ireland at beattys.ie.

Our Two Loughrea Locations

To best serve our local community and nationwide customers, Beattys operates from two distinct premises in Loughrea, Co. Galway:

• Main Street & Church Street: A 15,000 sq. ft. retail destination stocking an extensive range of housewares, interior furnishings, electrical appliances, DIY & paint, toys, and gardening equipment. We pride ourselves on sourcing unique, high-quality products for your home.

• Station Road Builders’ Merchant: A fully stocked trade and construction hub featuring dedicated departments for plumbing and heating, bathrooms, timber flooring, and tool hire, alongside a complete range of agricultural feeds and fertilisers.

Celebrating our 95th anniversary in 2026, Beattys has been proudly family-run for three generations. Having first opened our doors in 1931 as a small grocery, hardware, and grain store on Church Street, our longevity is a direct result of the ongoing support from our local community.

Today, our team of over 50 staff members offers a wealth of experience and unmatched product knowledge. We are incredibly proud that over half of our team has been working at Beattys for 15 years or more, ensuring you always receive trusted, expert guidance.
