Stabila 80U-2 Spirit Level, 150cm
A metre and a half of Stabila — the length that sits between the 120cm most people own and the 180cm they borrow. It spans a door opening, a worktop run or a stud bay and still goes in a van without a fight.
The profile is rectangular aluminium with an electro-static powder coating in an anodised colour, which protects sensitive surfaces as you work and wipes clean rather than holding plaster for the rest of its life. The ends carry impact-resistant plastic end caps, firmly fitted.
There are three vials — two vertical, so you can read plumb from either side without turning the level round, and one horizontal. They sit in Stabila's patented vial system, which is what the brand's reputation for holding accuracy rests on.
Accuracy is ±0.5mm/m in the normal position and ±1.0mm/m overhead. One coated measuring surface.

Why two vertical vials?
So you can read plumb from either face without turning the level around. On a door frame or a stud, that saves you climbing down and back up.
Why is the overhead accuracy different?
Reading a vial from underneath is inherently less precise than reading it from above, so Stabila quote both honestly: ±0.5mm/m normal, ±1.0mm/m overhead.
Is it magnetic?
No. The 80U-2 is the traditional non-magnetic box level.
Will the coating mark a finished surface?
That is what the powder coating is for — it protects sensitive surfaces rather than scoring them the way bare aluminium can.
