Air moving fast across a curved surface clings to it — the Coanda effect — and that pull is strong enough to draw a section of hair onto the barrel and wrap it for you. You hold the barrel near the ends and the hair winds itself. CoandaBoost is Shark's stronger version of that wrap force, for a curl with more spring in it.
It is four tools in one: a hair dryer, and then two 32mm Coanda curlers, a FrizzFighter High Shine Polisher for smoothing the surface of the hair, an Oval Brush for volume at the root, and a Styling Concentrator for directing the airflow.
The dryer is ionic — Shark put 200 million negative ions through the airflow, which is what settles the frizz and stops hair standing up with static.
Scalp Shield Mode adjusts the temperature to protect new growth at the roots. The AirSet button pauses the airflow with a double tap, so you can position a curl without blowing it apart, and gives a burst of cool air with a single tap to set it.
1750W, a 2.44m cord and only 0.68kg in the hand. A storage bag comes with it.
