Russell Hobbs Tidy Tub RHTV2001 800W Bagged Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner
The dust goes into a sealed bag and the bag goes into the bin. You never tip a cloud of it back into the room, which matters if anyone in the house has asthma or hay fever. Two bags come with it.
800W and 20kPa of suction, adjustable by push button so you can ease it off for a rug or a curtain rather than fighting it.
The reach is the quiet advantage of a cylinder. A 10 metre cord and a 2 metre hose give a 12.5 metre working radius — most houses do a full floor, stairs included, from one socket.
The telescopic tube is stainless steel rather than plastic, and both the floorhead and the handle adjust for height. Three tools come with it — a floor brush, a detail nozzle and a 2-in-1 crevice tool and dusting brush — and they clip onto the body so they are not left in a drawer upstairs.
It holds 10 litres, weighs 5.25kg and handles carpet, hard floor, laminate and tile.
