Long Type Tomica No.139 Livestock Transporter
A Long Type Tomica — double length, double-width box. The canopy lifts off, the loading ramp drops, and eight cows go in the back: four white and four black. For once the animals really are in the box.
This is a Long Type Tomica: the same 3-and-over grading and the same die-cast build as a standard Tomica, but twice the length, in a box twice as wide. No batteries.

Frequently Asked Questions
What age is it suitable for?
Takara Tomy grade it at three years and over. Long Type Tomica carry the same 3-and-over grading as the standard range.
Does it need batteries?
No. Nothing in the Tomica range needs batteries — everything on it works by hand.
What scale is it?
Takara Tomy do not publish a scale for this model, and we would rather say so than put a number on it. Tomica are sized to fit a standard box rather than to a fixed scale, so a bus and a sports car in the same range are not to the same scale. You will see 1:64 quoted for Tomica in a lot of places — that is a collector's generalisation, not something Takara Tomy state.
What moves on it?
On this one, canopy detaches; loading ramp moves; cattle load and unload. No batteries involved — it all works by hand.
What else goes with it?
Tomica are made to be collected, so the usual answer is another one. They sit alongside Hot Wheels and the rest of our die-cast cars and trucks without looking out of place.
