Asiatic Raja RA06 Rug, 120 x 160cm
There is something steadying about a rug with a proper border on it. The Asiatic Raja RA06 draws on antique rug design — a defined border framing a traditional patterned field — and brings that heritage detail into a machine woven construction made for ordinary, busy floors.
At 120 x 160cm this is the size that does the real work in a room — big enough to sit under a coffee table and pull a sofa and armchairs into one settled group, or to give a dining nook a defined footprint. The 8mm pile is low enough that chair legs move over it without catching, and shallow enough to vacuum in a couple of passes.
Woven in Turkey from 100% polypropylene, it is a rug built for a room that gets lived in rather than admired. Asiatic place Raja in The Rug Edit, their everyday range, and describe the construction as durable and suited to high-traffic areas — which is about right for a family sitting room, a hall that takes the brunt of the weather, or a kitchen-diner.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Asiatic Raja rug made from?
It has a 100% polypropylene pile at 8mm, machine woven in Turkey. Polypropylene is the workhorse rug fibre — it holds a pattern well and copes with the kind of traffic a hall or sitting room gives it.
Will it stand up to a busy room?
That is what it is built for. Asiatic describe the Raja construction as durable and suited to high-traffic areas, and the low 8mm pile means there is less to flatten underfoot than on a deep shaggy rug.
What other sizes does the Raja RA06 come in?
We stock it in four sizes: 80 x 140cm and 120 x 160cm as room rugs, plus 66 x 240cm and 66 x 300cm runners for halls and landings. Every size is linked under Also Available In above.
