Asiatic Raja RA05 Rug, 66 x 300cm
A hallway is the first floor anyone walks on when they come through your door, and it is usually the one working hardest — bags down, coats off, everybody passing through. The Asiatic Raja RA05 Runner is cut for exactly that job: 66cm wide and 300cm long, narrow enough to leave a margin of floor showing either side, long enough to carry the eye down the hall rather than stopping it halfway.
Raja comes from Asiatic's "The Rug Edit" range and is a Modern Heritage design — antique-inspired motifs drawn from traditional rug-making, set in a durable construction that Asiatic rate for high-traffic areas. The pile is 100% polypropylene at a low 8mm, machine woven in Turkey. Low pile is the practical choice in a hall: it sits flat underfoot, it is quick to run a vacuum over, and it doesn't bulk up where a door swings across it.
At 300cm long it covers a proper hallway — in a 3.6 metre run of floor it leaves roughly 30cm clear at each end, which is the gap that stops a runner looking wedged in. For a shorter hall or a landing, the 66 x 240cm length is the one to measure against.
Product Details
- Long, narrow runner format — 66 x 300cm, made for halls and corridors rather than the middle of a room
- 100% polypropylene pile, hard-wearing and built for floors that get walked on all day
- Low 8mm pile — sits flat, vacuums easily and keeps a slim profile in a doorway
- Machine woven construction, which Asiatic describe as suited to high-traffic areas
- Heritage design with antique-inspired motifs, part of Asiatic's Modern Heritage "The Rug Edit" range
- Woven in Turkey
- Shade RA05 — one of six shades in the Raja range
- Also made in two room sizes, so a hall runner and a room rug can be matched to the same shade

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I go for the 240cm or the 300cm length?
Measure the clear run of floor you want the runner to sit on — from just inside the door to wherever you want it to stop, skipping anything fixed like a radiator cabinet or a built-in press. Then take about 30cm off each end so a margin of floor still shows; a runner that reaches wall to wall reads like badly fitted carpet. That puts the 240cm at home in a run of roughly 3 metres and the 300cm in a run of roughly 3.6 metres. If you fall between the two, the shorter one is the safer choice — a little floor left over looks deliberate, whereas a runner that has to be nudged up against the skirting does not.
What is this runner made of?
The pile is 100% polypropylene at 8mm, machine woven in Turkey. Asiatic describe the construction as durable and suited to high-traffic areas, which is what you want underfoot in a hall or a kitchen.
What does the Raja design look like?
Raja is part of Asiatic's Modern Heritage "The Rug Edit" range. The design draws on traditional rug-making, with antique-inspired motifs framed within the length of the runner — a classic, settled sort of pattern rather than anything geometric or abstract.
What other shades does the Raja runner come in?
Six: RA01, RA03, RA04, RA05, RA06 and RA09. Here are the others in this same 66 x 300cm size — RA01, RA03, RA04, RA06, RA09.
Is this a runner or a room rug?
A runner. At 66cm wide it is built to run the length of a hall, a landing or a galley kitchen, not to sit under furniture in the middle of a room. If it is a room rug you are after, the same RA05 shade is made in 80 x 140cm and 120 x 160cm.
