A wide pan with proper depth is the one you reach for most evenings, and this 30cm enamelled cast iron sauté pan is built for exactly that. With a 3.7 litre capacity, there is space to brown a whole batch of chicken thighs without steaming them, then add your stock and let it bubble down under the lid.
The interior is finished in durable black porcelain enamel, which is made for the higher surface temperatures that searing calls for. A long handle with a helper handle on the opposite side means you can get it out of the oven two-handed, which you will want — it is a substantial piece of cast iron. The soft latte enamelled exterior and gold-finish knob look well on the table once the cooking is done.
It suits every hob including induction and is oven safe to 230°C, so hob to oven to table happens in one pan.

Can it go in the dishwasher?
No — hand wash only. Let it cool down gradually first, then wash with a soft sponge and mild soap. Never use abrasive cleaners or scourers on the enamel, and dry it thoroughly afterwards.
Will it work on an induction hob?
Yes. It is cast iron underneath the enamel, so it is compatible with all hob types including induction, as well as gas, electric, ceramic and halogen.
Can it go in the oven?
Yes, up to 230°C (450°F). The lid has a stainless steel knob, so the whole thing — pan and lid together — is rated to that temperature. Always use oven gloves: the handles get every bit as hot as the pan.
Does it need seasoning like bare cast iron?
No. The interior is sealed with porcelain enamel, so there is nothing to season and nothing to re-oil. Use silicone, nylon or wooden utensils though — metal tools will chip the enamel.
