The replacement suction hose for a De Vielle ash vacuum. It is the part that takes the most abuse on an ash vac — dragged across hearths, trodden on, and pushed into grates — so it is the part most likely to split or crack long before the machine itself gives up.
It is 1.5 metres long with a cuffed fitting at each end, and it is sold as a direct replacement rather than a universal hose, so it seats properly in the machine instead of being made to fit.
It suits the DEFAV006, DEFAV007, DEFAV008 and PPSAV007 ash vacuums. The model code is printed on the rating plate on the body of your machine — worth a look before ordering, because De Vielle ash vac spares are not interchangeable across the whole range.

Which ash vacs does this hose fit?
DEFAV006, DEFAV007, DEFAV008 and PPSAV007. The code is on the rating plate on the body of the machine. If yours is the De Vielle Double Chamber 25L 1200W, it is one of the DEFAV006/007/008 generations and this is the right hose for it.
Will it fit my Sirocco ash vac?
Not according to the supplier. The hose is listed for the De Vielle and PPS models above, and the Sirocco SIRAV006 is not among them — which is a real difference, because the De Vielle Ash Vac Replacement Filter does cover SIRAV006. Don't assume one spare fitting means the other will.
Do I need the filter as well?
They are separate parts and wear differently. The hose splits or perishes; the filter clogs. If the suction has dropped off rather than the hose having visibly failed, it is usually the replacement filter you want.
Can I use an ash vac on warm ash?
No. Ash vacuums are built for cold ash only. Embers that still have any heat in them will damage the hose and the filter, and are a fire risk in the collection chamber. Let the fire go out fully and give it time before vacuuming.
Is it worth replacing the hose or the whole machine?
The hose is a wear part on an otherwise sound machine. If the motor still runs and the chambers are intact, a new hose puts it back to full suction. If you do need the machine itself, see the De Vielle Ash Vac Double Chamber 25L 1200W.
