Bosch Readyy'y Series 2 Cordless Vacuum, Black | BCHF220GB
A straightforward cordless vacuum that does two jobs. Used full length it handles floors; lift the handheld unit off and it does the stairs, the car and the sofa without a second machine.
It runs for up to 44 minutes on its lithium-ion pack, which Bosch market as 20Vmax and specify as 18V nominal — the same battery described two ways, so don't read it as two different products. The pack is exchangeable rather than sealed in.
The 0.4 litre container is bagless with a washable filter, so there is nothing to keep buying. The HighPower AllFloor brush with its EasyClean roll moves between carpet and hard floor without a change of head.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it 20V or 18V?
Both, depending on which number you are reading. Bosch market the battery as 20Vmax, which is its peak voltage, and specify it as 18V nominal, which is its working voltage. It is one battery, described two ways — this is normal across cordless brands.
Can I use it as a handheld?
Yes. The handheld unit detaches from the tube and floor head, which is what makes it useful for stairs, the car and furniture.
What is in the box?
The vacuum and its charger. Bosch do not publish a tool list for this model, so we have not listed one rather than guess at it — if you need a crevice tool or a brush, check the box contents when it arrives.
How does it compare to the Unlimited 10?
The Bosch Unlimited 10 is a considerable step up: 80 minutes rather than 44, HEPA filtration, an anti-tangle roller, six modes with a display and a docking station. The Readyy'y Series 2 is the simpler machine for lighter, more occasional use.
Do I have to buy filters for it?
No. The filter is washable and the container is bagless, so there are no consumables to keep replacing.
