The STIHL FSA 80 R is a battery-powered brushcutter designed for tackling the toughest mowing, cutting and clearing jobs you may face in your home garden. The FSA 80 R is battery powered and as such has low noise emissions – so you don’t have to worry about disturbing any neighbours either!

 

Fitted with a new style loop handle that has a quick-mounting system, meaning you can adjust the handle to your height for an ergonomic working position. This handle also makes mowing on slopes, around trees or on uneven terrains even easier. The FSA 80 R has a powerful brushless EC motor and speed-adjustment on the control handle, which can be set at 2 different speed settings. There is an ECO mode (level 1), for simple tasks such as trimming lawn edges, which results in lower energy consumption for extended battery life. And there is full speed mode (level 2), for mowing thicker grass, which will use more of the battery energy.

 

The FSA 80 R is supplied with a basic harness and the AutoCut 27-2 as standard, but can also be fitted with other STIHL cutting tools, such as the TrimCut, DuroCut, PolyCut and GrassCut cutting tools.

 

Key Features

The wraparound handle can be quickly and easily adjusted without tools for an ergonomic working position adapted to your height. In addition, the optimised geometry of the wraparound handle supports flexible working with plenty of freedom to manoeuvre and precise guidance of your power tool.

The loop handle is a great advantage in narrow spaces, such as when clearing between bushes, shrubs or park benches. The practical handle position allows you to move your power tool freely and to guide it easily and precisely, even in confined spaces.

Quickly and conveniently adjust the speed of your power tool to the respective work situation. Doing so reduces energy consumption at low speeds, and in this way extends the battery runtime. The practical control handle with speed control allows you to make the relevant adjustment without having to change your grip or pause work.

To make your work easier and improve ergonomics, you can attach a harness to this STIHL power tool. You can use a special suspension eye or hanger strip to do so.

You can change the power of your device thanks to 2 different power levels. At level 1, you reduce the power (Eco mode) and extend the battery life. Level 2 allows you to call up full power. This means that you can either work particularly energy-efficiently or use all the power of the device when you need it.

The power tool has an integrated carrying ring. This allows you to store your power tool safely and compactly.

During operation the brushcutter recognises which cutting attachment is being used and then automatically adjusts the speed to deliver optimal performance in every application.

Thanks to its compact design, low weight and high efficiency, the EC engine enables you to work in an energy efficient manner. This engine also has a long service life.

The power tool is compatible with the Smart Connector, meaning it can be integrated into the STIHL connected system. Once you have attached a Smart Connector to the power tool, after one-time commissioning it will record the power tool’s operating hours and transmit them to the STIHL connected App via Bluetooth. In addition to displaying the operational time, the app also provides an overview of all necessary maintenance, ensuring that you do not overlook important upkeep and that your power tool is always in a ready-to-use condition.

Delivery Terms for Appliances and Old Appliance Removal

If you purchase a washing machine or any other appliance and request the removal of your old appliance, please specify this in the comment section at checkout. Ensure that your old appliance is disconnected and placed outside the premises, ready for collection.

Please note that our drivers can only deliver to your doorstep and are not permitted to enter your property.

Returns Policy

Damaged and Faulty Goods

If your goods are damaged or faulty, we will replace the goods free of charge. If you do not want a replacement, delivery charges may be incurred to collect the item from you. Do not install any damaged items. This counts as acceptance of goods and the item is then non-returnable and non-refundable. Damaged goods must be reported within 48 hours of delivery, please contact us by emailing websales@beattys.ie or by phone on (091) 841403. In the event that goods are received in a damaged state please retain the product together with any packaging and contact us within 48 hours of receipt with photographic evidence. In the case of an item being faulty we may require an inspection by a manufacturer's qualified engineer to be carried out on the item in the location where it is installed. This is so the nature of the fault can be ascertained before we can arrange for a replacement.

All products leave our premises in perfect condition. The customer must notify the carrier (or postman) of even the slightest trace of damage (holes, signs of crushing, etc.) to the parcel, and refuse the package if necessary.

Unwanted Goods

Do not install or use any unwanted items. This counts as acceptance of goods and the item is then non-returnable and non-refundable. You have a statutory right to return unopened goods up to 14 days after receiving your order (“the cooling off period”) and then a further 14 days to return the products. If you are not ordering a replacement, a charge may be incurred to collect the item from you. You must notify us of your wish to cancel within 14 days, starting the day after delivery. You have the choice of returning the goods via your own means ( Beattys of Loughrea, Church Street, Loughrea, Co. Galway) or requesting that we collect them. If you request collection, we will collect the goods on the next available date that one of our delivery vehicles is in your area. You have a duty of care while the goods are in your possession and we reserve the right to charge you for any damage that may have occurred during this period.

We reserve the right to apply re-handling charges for returned items under some circumstances:

  • The goods received back are 'as new' but incomplete; i.e. missing components and/or accessories.
  • The returned products are missing their original packaging.
  • The cancellation was requested after the 14 day notification period.

 We do not accept returns and will not provide refunds under the following circumstances:

  • The goods you wish to return are in any condition other than 'as new'.
  • The goods have been installed and/or used.
  • Cables have been cut or terminated.

Refunds will be reimbursed within 30 working days of the cancellation date.
