The HSA 60 is a powerful battery-powered hedge trimmer designed for demanding applications at home, such as trimming bushes, shrubs, and medium to large-sized hedges. It’s incredibly lightweight and easy-to-use and has a rotatable multi-function handle, which allows the handle to be turned at 90 degrees so you can take on awkward angles when trimming. It’s quiet too, thanks to the 36 V lithium-ion battery – making it perfect for noise sensitive environments.
It also features laser-cut double-edged, diamond ground blades that deliver a smart finish when trimming bushes and hedges in your home garden. The blades have a droplet shape on the blade which guides twigs and branches whilst cutting and the anti-block system changes the rotational direction of the cutting blades in the event of blockages. A screw-on tip protector prevents wear when working near the ground or along walls. Plus, it features the STIHL anti-vibration system for comfortable use whilst working.
When used with the recommended AK 10 battery, the HSA 60 has a working time of up to 70 minutes. What’s more, this battery provides perfect balance when used, making work even more comfortable!
Key Features
The rotatable multi-function handle enables precise and comfortable cutting with your hedge trimmer, both at your side and at head height. It can be rotated 90° to the left and right, and so is also suitable for left-handed and right-handed users. This means the power tool is always in the most ergonomically effective position in your hand.
With the teardrop-shaped shrub blade, you can achieve optimum results when trimming and shaping your shrubs. The teardrop shape reliably holds stems in the blade so that you can cut precisely. At the same time, the two-sided blades of the shrub blade ensure high cutting performance.
The pruning system enables you to trim and prune with just one hedge trimmer. The single-sided and double-sided cutter blades produce a very clean cut when trimming, while the optimum sharpening angle facilitates high cutting performance. Due to the large tooth spacing, you can also prune your hedge effectively.
Transport and store your hedge trimmer and shrub shears safely and securely with the tailor-made blade scabbard.
The tip protector prevents damage to the blades. The tip protector also makes it easier to cut close to the ground or along walls.
You can start the power tool easily by simultaneously pressing the switches on the loop handle and on the rear handle. Two-hand control can be operated by right-handed or left-handed users.
Thanks to its smooth surfaces and round contours, the engine casing does not catch on branches during work. This design also makes cleaning easier and saves you time when maintaining the power tool.
The power tool has an integrated carrying ring. This allows you to store your power tool safely and compactly.
Thanks to its compact design, low weight and high efficiency, the EC engine enables you to work in an energy efficient manner. This engine also has a long service life
The power tool is compatible with the Smart Connector, meaning it can be integrated into the STIHL connected system. Once you have attached a Smart Connector to the power tool, after one-time commissioning it will record the power tool’s operating hours and transmit them to the STIHL connected App via Bluetooth. In addition to displaying the operational time, the app also provides an overview of all necessary maintenance, ensuring that you do not overlook important upkeep and that your power tool is always in a ready-to-use condition.
Vibrations can occur when you put your power tools through their paces, and these are particularly noticeable in the grip area. The buffer and spring elements of the STIHL anti-vibration system reduce the transmission of vibrations to the handle area and therefore to your body. The result is that your power tool is more comfortable to hold and your work is much less tiring.

If you purchase a washing machine or any other appliance and request the removal of your old appliance, please specify this in the comment section at checkout. Ensure that your old appliance is disconnected and placed outside the premises, ready for collection.

Damaged and Faulty Goods
If your goods are damaged or faulty, we will replace the goods free of charge. If you do not want a replacement, delivery charges may be incurred to collect the item from you. Do not install any damaged items. This counts as acceptance of goods and the item is then non-returnable and non-refundable. Damaged goods must be reported within 48 hours of delivery, please contact us by emailing websales@beattys.ie or by phone on (091) 841403. In the event that goods are received in a damaged state please retain the product together with any packaging and contact us within 48 hours of receipt with photographic evidence. In the case of an item being faulty we may require an inspection by a manufacturer's qualified engineer to be carried out on the item in the location where it is installed. This is so the nature of the fault can be ascertained before we can arrange for a replacement.
All products leave our premises in perfect condition. The customer must notify the carrier (or postman) of even the slightest trace of damage (holes, signs of crushing, etc.) to the parcel, and refuse the package if necessary.
Unwanted Goods
Do not install or use any unwanted items. This counts as acceptance of goods and the item is then non-returnable and non-refundable. You have a statutory right to return unopened goods up to 14 days after receiving your order (“the cooling off period”) and then a further 14 days to return the products. If you are not ordering a replacement, a charge may be incurred to collect the item from you. You must notify us of your wish to cancel within 14 days, starting the day after delivery. Please email websales@beattys.ie or phone (091) 841403 to advise.
You have the choice of returning the goods via your own means ( Beattys of Loughrea, Church Street, Loughrea, Co. Galway) or requesting that we collect them. If you request collection, we will collect the goods on the next available date that one of our delivery vehicles is in your area. You have a duty of care while the goods are in your possession and we reserve the right to charge you for any damage that may have occurred during this period.
We reserve the right to apply re-handling charges for returned items under some circumstances:
- The goods received back are 'as new' but incomplete; i.e. missing components and/or accessories.
- The returned products are missing their original packaging.
- The cancellation was requested after the 14 day notification period.
We do not accept returns and will not provide refunds under the following circumstances:
- The goods you wish to return are in any condition other than 'as new'.
- The goods have been installed and/or used.
- Cables have been cut or terminated.
Refunds will be reimbursed within 30 working days of the cancellation date.
