The STIHL GTA 30 cordless garden pruner is a powerful and versatile tool, perfect for pruning jobs around the garden – from trimming branches and shrubs to cutting up garden waste and tackling small DIY tasks with ease.

Comfortable and simple to use, the GTA 30 features non-slip rubberised handles for excellent control, even during longer cutting sessions. The GTA 30 is fitted with a 15 cm guide bar, giving you extra reach compared to the GTA 26’s 10 cm bar, making it ideal for larger pruning jobs in your garden. Even with the longer bar and increased power, it remains lightweight at just 1.9 kg, so it’s easy to handle and manoeuvre – making it ideal for gardeners of all abilities.

For a smooth and efficient cut, the GTA 30 uses a ¼” PM3 saw chain which has low vibration and high cutting performance. Chain tensioning is quick and intuitive thanks to the newly designed innovative spring-loaded mechanism under the sprocket cover – simply fold out the handle and rotate the cover 90 degrees to automatically adjust the chain tension. To oil the chain, just apply lubricant directly onto the chain itself.

The GTA 30 uses two AS 2 batteries which are discharged in parallel. The tool cannot be used with only one battery. The charge level indicator of the tool is located on the top of the tool in an easy-to-read position. Using the supplied AL 5-2 high-speed charger, you can quickly recharge 2x AS 2 batteries simultaneously in 50 minutes.

The GTA 30 also includes a practical storage case with space for two additional AS 2 batteries, and a helpful diagram to show battery orientation – so you’ll always know which ones are charged and ready to go. Plus, the built-in eyelet means you can hang the tool neatly on a hook when not in use.

When using the GTA 30, you should hold it with both hands - one hand should hold the main handle, whilst the other hand should rest on the top handle to guide the tool through whatever you are cutting.

Working time with recommended AS 2 battery is up to 180 cuts in 5 cm branches.

The chain tension can be readjusted quickly, easily and without tools, by means of a spring mechanism. By opening and closing the chain sprocket cover with the fold-out handle, the chain is automatically tensioned to the right level. Optimal chain tension not only improves cutting performance and safety, but also extends the service life of the chain through reduced wear.

At the push of a button, the LED charge-level indicator will inform you at any time about your battery’s remaining capacity. This allows you to efficiently plan working hours and charge the battery in good time.

With the protective hood over the chain, you can work effectively and as safely as possible when pruning branches or shrubs. Your view of the cuts you make remains unobstructed. The flexible, asymmetrical protective hood can be folded out to 90 degrees so that you can use the full length of the saw bar.

If you purchase a washing machine or any other appliance and request the removal of your old appliance, please specify this in the comment section at checkout. Ensure that your old appliance is disconnected and placed outside the premises, ready for collection.

Returns Policy

Damaged and Faulty Goods

If your goods are damaged or faulty, we will replace the goods free of charge. If you do not want a replacement, delivery charges may be incurred to collect the item from you. Do not install any damaged items. This counts as acceptance of goods and the item is then non-returnable and non-refundable. Damaged goods must be reported within 48 hours of delivery, please contact us by emailing websales@beattys.ie or by phone on (091) 841403. In the event that goods are received in a damaged state please retain the product together with any packaging and contact us within 48 hours of receipt with photographic evidence. In the case of an item being faulty we may require an inspection by a manufacturer's qualified engineer to be carried out on the item in the location where it is installed. This is so the nature of the fault can be ascertained before we can arrange for a replacement.

All products leave our premises in perfect condition. The customer must notify the carrier (or postman) of even the slightest trace of damage (holes, signs of crushing, etc.) to the parcel, and refuse the package if necessary.

Unwanted Goods

Do not install or use any unwanted items. This counts as acceptance of goods and the item is then non-returnable and non-refundable. You have a statutory right to return unopened goods up to 14 days after receiving your order (“the cooling off period”) and then a further 14 days to return the products. If you are not ordering a replacement, a charge may be incurred to collect the item from you. You must notify us of your wish to cancel within 14 days, starting the day after delivery. You have the choice of returning the goods via your own means ( Beattys of Loughrea, Church Street, Loughrea, Co. Galway) or requesting that we collect them. If you request collection, we will collect the goods on the next available date that one of our delivery vehicles is in your area. You have a duty of care while the goods are in your possession and we reserve the right to charge you for any damage that may have occurred during this period.

We reserve the right to apply re-handling charges for returned items under some circumstances:

The goods received back are 'as new' but incomplete; i.e. missing components and/or accessories.
The returned products are missing their original packaging.
The cancellation was requested after the 14 day notification period.

We do not accept returns and will not provide refunds under the following circumstances:

The goods you wish to return are in any condition other than 'as new'.
The goods have been installed and/or used.
Cables have been cut or terminated.

Refunds will be reimbursed within 30 working days of the cancellation date.
