Stanley FatMax Xtreme Box Beam Level, 90cm
A 90cm box beam level — the length that spans a standard door opening and most kitchen runs, and still fits across a van seat. The fine-milled primary edge is accurate to 0.5mm/m, with the secondary edge at 0.8mm/m, and the continuous edge runs the full length so you can scribe or draw an unbroken line straight off it.
The vials are fully secured to survive the drop that eventually happens, and the plumb vial is 90% larger than standard, which makes the bubble much easier to read overhead or in poor light. The rubber-moulded end caps absorb impact, have raised anti-slip surface protectors so the level does not skate across a finished surface, and come off for corner work and marking a true 90 degrees.
The range also runs to 60cm and 120cm.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does it have two different accuracy figures?
The primary edge — the machined face you normally work off — reads to 0.5mm/m. Turn the level onto the secondary edge and it reads to 0.8mm/m. For fine work, use the primary edge.
What is the continuous edge for?
The edge runs unbroken from end to end, so you can rule or scribe a full-length line without the end caps interrupting it. On most levels you lose the last few centimetres at each end.
60cm, 90cm or 120cm?
60cm for cabinets and between studs. 90cm spans a door opening and most kitchen runs. 120cm for longer setting out. All three are the same level in different lengths.
Is it magnetic?
No. This is the standard Xtreme box beam. There is a separate magnetic version in the range for work on steel.
