Stanley FatMax Flared Tip Screwdriver, 5.5 x 100mm
A slotted screwdriver built around the two things that actually break a screwdriver: the tip and the join between handle and shaft. The bar is chrome vanadium steel, which takes high torque without the tip folding over, and the handle is moulded directly onto the shaft rather than glued or pinned on — so it does not work loose and spin.
The soft grip handle is large in diameter, which gives you more leverage when you are driving a wood screw by hand, and the domed end lets you spin it quickly between your fingers on the easy turns. Handles are colour coded by tip type, so you can pick the right one out of a drawer without reading it.

The tip is wider than the blade shaft, so it fills more of the screw slot and is less likely to twist out. A parallel tip keeps the same width all the way down, which is what you need when the screw sits in a recessed hole.
