A pack of three BRITA Intenza cartridges for Siemens fully automatic coffee machines. The filter sits in the water tank and treats the water before it ever reaches the brewing unit.
It does two jobs at once. It reduces the limescale that furs up a bean-to-cup machine from the inside and eventually forces a descale, and it reduces chlorine and the other substances that affect how water smells and tastes — which matters more in coffee than in almost anything else you'd put tap water into.
Fits Siemens EQ-series fully automatic machines and Siemens built-in bean-to-cup machines. It replaces the earlier part numbers 17008382, 17005984, 17005980 and 17004341, and supersedes TZ70033.

It fits Siemens EQ-series fully automatic machines and Siemens built-in bean-to-cup machines. It is not for filter coffee machines or kettles. If you are unsure, check your machine's E-Nr. (the model number on the rating plate) against the compatibility checker on the Siemens website before ordering.
How many are in the pack?

When should I change it?
Siemens' guidance is to change the filter when the machine itself tells you to — EQ machines track water throughput and prompt you. How long that takes depends on how hard your water is and how much coffee you make.
Is this the same as the Bosch filter?
It is the same BRITA Intenza cartridge that Bosch sell under their own part numbers. The pack sizes differ, so check the quantity rather than assuming one code swaps straight for another.
Does it soften the water?
It reduces limescale and hardness rather than softening the water outright. The point is to slow the scale building up inside the machine and to take the chlorine taste out of the coffee.
