If you've been doing your bread and your Christmas cakes by hand, this is the machine that takes the work off you. It's a 1300W stand mixer with a 4 litre stainless steel bowl, which is enough for a big batch of dough or a couple of cakes' worth of batter in one go.
1300W is a lot for a mixer this size, and it's what keeps it going through a stiff bread dough instead of labouring and stalling halfway. There are 8 speeds and a pulse, so you can fold something in gently or whip egg whites stiff without it climbing the sides of the bowl.
The head tilts back, so you can lift the bowl in and out and change attachments without wrestling with it, and the clear cover sits over the top to keep flour off the worktop. The beater, whisk and dough hook all come with it, so there's nothing else to buy.

Will it handle bread dough?
It will. 1300W is well up to a stiff white or brown dough, and the dough hook comes in the box. Start it on a low speed until the flour is taken up, then bring it up a notch and let it work.
Does the head tilt back?
It does, back and clear of the bowl, so you can lift the bowl out and swap the beater for the whisk without having to fight it back into place.
