Himalayan Salt Lamp, 1.5-2kg
Switch one of these on in a dark room and it fills the corner with a deep amber-pink glow. It's a solid block of Himalayan salt, hand-carved and left rough, and the bulb inside warms it through until the whole thing lights from within.
This is the 1.5-2kg size, which suits a bedside table, a hall table or a desk. It sits on a dark wooden base and takes a small E14 15W screw bulb, and it comes with a 1.5m lead with a simple on/off switch on it.
No two are alike. The salt is cut from rock, so the shape, the crags and the depth of the colour change from lamp to lamp, and you're choosing the size rather than the exact piece.

How big is it?
They're sold by weight rather than height, because every one is cut to a different shape — this is the 1.5-2kg size, which is the smaller of the two we stock and sits comfortably on a bedside table.
Will it light up a room?
It won't, and it isn't built to. A salt lamp throws a low amber glow — plenty to soften a dark room or find your way across it, not enough to read by. Keep it alongside a proper lamp rather than instead of one.
Do they all look the same?
They don't. Each one is carved from rock salt, so the shape, the texture and how deep the colour runs are different every time. You're choosing the size, not the exact piece.
Is there a bigger one?
