Faithfull Flex Finishing Trowel with Cork Handle, 350mm (14in)
Every plasterer knows a new trowel is the worst trowel you own — the edges are sharp, they dig in, and it takes weeks of work before it behaves. This one is pre-worn: the 201 high-grade stainless steel blade has its edges already shaped to replicate a well-used trowel, and the curved profile stops the lead edge digging in from the very first wall.
The shank is lightweight aluminium riveted to the blade rather than welded or glued — the joint that fails first on a lesser trowel.
The handle is the other half of the story. It is a ‘camel back’ shape, arched for extra knuckle clearance, in cork composite rather than plastic or soft grip. Cork is shock resistant and water repellent, it does not go slimy with wet plaster on it, and it is noticeably kinder on the hand over a long day.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does pre-worn mean?
The edges and corners have been shaped at the factory to match a trowel that has been in use for some time. It skips the breaking-in period, where a new sharp-edged trowel digs lines into fresh plaster.
Why a cork handle?
Cork absorbs shock, repels water, and does not get slippery the way a wet plastic handle does. Over a full day it is a good deal more comfortable.
What is a camel back?
The arched shape between the handle and the blade. The higher arch gives your knuckles more clearance from the wall, which matters when you are working into a corner.
14in or 16in?
14in is the general-purpose size and easier to control. 16in covers more wall per pass and suits large flat areas, at the cost of more weight on the wrist.
