A wet Saturday, a bowl of buns and somebody small standing on a chair beside you — that is what this mixer is for. It sits on the counter with the bowl turning by itself while you get on with lining the tin, and when you want to take it over to the pot or the tray it lifts straight off the stand and becomes a hand mixer.
There are 5 speeds on a thumb-operated control, so you can start a cake mix slowly and bring it up without flour going everywhere, and the tilting head means you can scrape the bowl down without wrestling anything. It comes with 2 beaters and 2 dough hooks, and the whisks and bowl lift out for washing.
