The Nespresso CitiZ EN167.B is one of the most compact machines in the Nespresso Original range, built to deliver café-quality espresso and lungo from a footprint that fits neatly into even a small kitchen. It uses Nespresso's Original Line capsules and a 19 bar pump to extract a full, crema-topped shot in seconds, with no dials or displays to navigate — just button controls for the drink sizes it makes.
A Thermoblock heating element brings the machine up to temperature in around 25 seconds, and its 1260W element keeps recovery quick between cups. The 1 litre removable water tank and 10-capsule used capsule container mean fewer trips to refill or empty during the day, and a manual flow-stop function lets you stop the pour yourself for a volume in between the two presets.
Finished in black with a mix of metal and plastic housing, the CitiZ is built to sit out on the counter permanently rather than be tucked away — and an automatic 9-minute shut-off means it's never left running by accident.

No — it uses Nespresso Original Line capsules, which are a different, smaller format to Nespresso Vertuo capsules and aren't interchangeable between the two systems.
What cup sizes can it make?
Two presets — Espresso (40ml) and Lungo (110ml) — plus a manual flow-stop function so you can stop the pour yourself for a volume in between.
How do I descale the machine?
It needs periodic descaling to keep the pump and Thermoblock heating element working properly. Use a proper descaling solution rather than vinegar or other substitutes, following the cycle prompts in the instruction manual.
