Stanley FatMax Xtreme Box Beam Level, 120cm
The long one in the Xtreme range, for the work where a shorter level reads true over its own length and still leaves you with a bow — wall plates, partitions, worktop runs, setting out. The fine-milled primary edge is accurate to 0.5mm/m, with the secondary edge at 0.8mm/m, and the continuous edge runs the full 120cm so you can scribe an unbroken line in one pass.
The vials are fully secured against drop damage — which matters more on a long level, because there is more of it to catch on something — and the plumb vial is 90% larger than standard for an easier read overhead. The rubber-moulded end caps absorb impact, have raised anti-slip surface protectors, and come off for corner work and marking a true 90 degrees.
The range also runs to 60cm and 90cm.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does it have two different accuracy figures?
The primary edge — the machined face you normally work off — reads to 0.5mm/m. Turn the level onto the secondary edge and it reads to 0.8mm/m. For fine work, use the primary edge.
Does a longer level give a more accurate reading?
Not per metre — the tolerance is the same. But a longer level spans more of the work, so it catches a bow or a dip that a short level would simply sit inside without showing you.
60cm, 90cm or 120cm?
60cm for cabinets and between studs. 90cm spans a door opening and most kitchen runs. 120cm for longer setting out. All three are the same level in different lengths.
Is it magnetic?
No. This is the standard Xtreme box beam. There is a separate magnetic version in the range for work on steel.
